Nestled amongst mature oaks and evergreens and only steps away from the waters edge this cottage features all the amenities one could imagine. With over 200 feet of waterfront you can enjoy both shallow and deep water from the boathouse docks. Whether bringing your own boat or opting to rent one the boat house is for guests use and can accommodate two boats approximately 30′ in length. Via water we are located on the Lake Muskoka side of the Indian River narrows only minutes away from the Port Carling locks. This provides cottagers access to all three major lakes (Lake Muskoka, Rosseau, and Joseph). With our proximity to the Hub of Port Carling boat traffic is steady throughout the day. It’s a wonderful treat to watch the Segwun, North America’s oldest operating coal-fired steamship pass on by.
The docks have south western exposure and are great for entertaining with ample seating and mooring for your drop by guests. If you enjoy fishing you won’t have far to travel as this part of the river is full of lake trout, pickerel, and bass making it possible to fish from the dock, by canoe, or in your boat. Via land we are centrally located within walking distance of both Hanna Park (equipped a large jungle gym, swings, and basketball courts) and downtown Port Carling making our location ideal for families with both young and teenage children.
This 2000 sq ft cottage provides guests with wonderful water views and beautiful sunsets while the trees provide you with great privacy. Everything in this cottage is new. The kitchen is spacious with a large ice/water two door fridge/freezer, in wall oven with separate cook top, two enormous stainless steel sinks, dishwasher, and microwave. It is fully equipped with all dishes, cutlery and utensils, pots and pans, toaster and coffee maker. There is a bar height counter for casual entertaining as well as a dining room table with seating for 8. The open concept living room with leather sofa and loveseat is a great space for reading, television, movies, entertaining or relaxing. The cottage has a 32” LCD TV with High Definition Express View Satellite and DVD player equipped with built in surround sound. The entertainment features include ports to plug in your MP3 player, IPOD, and IPOD nano’s to an in house receiver so you can enjoy listening to your favorite music throughout the house and outdoor porch area. The master bedroom with king size bed is located on the main floor with a private door to the walk out screened in porch. The master ensuite bathroom provides couples with a large full body shower as well as a Jacuzzi tub for two. Perfect for that romantic getaway!
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms one with a queen size bed and the other one with a trundle twin bed. All bedrooms have closet space. The second floor provides guests with a tremendous view of the lake and river. It is a great place to curl up with a book or enjoy a game of cards. Second floor guests also enjoy a three piece bathroom with a full body shower.
Built for year round accommodation this cottage has both central air conditioning and heating as well as a propane fireplace in the main living area to make those winter stays extra cozy. The main floor laundry houses a brand new full size washer and dryer for guests use. The porch has both a screened in area and exterior area with lots of seating. Guest can also enjoy a barbeque, canoe, board games, movies, and much more.
The cottage will be clean when you arrive and we ask it is left in the same clean condition it was found. At the request of numerous guests we now employ a cleaning service at an additional cost of $250 due upon arrival. All bed linen including sheets, blankets, and bedspreads will be provided.
